Unfortunately, there is no mention of any rollercoasternews in Germany this year.

In all of Germany?

No, there is a little town at the river Moselle called Klotten, where they decided to build a Gerstlauer "Bobsled" for the, yet unknown,
Wild- und Freizeitpark Klotten!

On friday, the Onride-Team was invited to be part of the testrides. Therefor Eric, Rainer and me did a long journey down to Klotten to take a "Hot Ride" on the vulcano!

Our common judgement:

We all didn't expect such a great and awesome coaster!

Mostly the coaster could be compared with the G'sengte Sau in the themepark Tripsdrill - And to say it with Rainers words, who also rode the G'sengte Sau, this new ride in Klotten wins the comparison!

The layout is more diversified and the forces are more intensive than in Tripsdrill, featuring a lot of fantastic airtime.
And even the exposure is a class of it's own.

The view down the lifthill to the Mosellevalley is breathtaking!

Pictures are worth a 1000 words:

View to the lifthill and 1st drop. There will be a restaurant and a logfume in the next years. The bare brickwork will be themed as a "Vulcano".

After the 1st drop, there's a short "Wild Mouse"-Section and the above mentioned view to the Moselle Valley.

<img src="bilder/klotten120304/klotten120304_3.jpg" border="1">
The "Downhelix" after the 1st break with a banking of 81°!

<img src="bilder/klotten120304/klotten120304_4.jpg" border="1">
2nd break directly in front of the Valley...

<img src="bilder/klotten120304/klotten120304_5.jpg" border="1">
4 Bunnyjumps? after the 2nd drop with lot of airtime.
Beneath the rails there will be a part of the Logfume.

<img src="bilder/klotten120304/klotten120304_6.jpg" border="1">
After the 3rd break, parallel to the station, there is a small "Uphelix"....

<img src="bilder/klotten120304/klotten120304_7.jpg" border="1">
...and a 180° turn through a tunnel.

<img src="bilder/klotten120304/klotten120304_8.jpg" border="1">
The parkmascot "Klotti" and we are in a complete agreement - Thumbs up for this amazing coaster!

Thanks for the incredible photos and video, Tejay! The layout looks fantastic, I love how "playful" it gets after the spiral drop.

MilitaryDuckJock Thanks for the incredible photos and video, Tejay!

Hi Iain,

the honour belongs to Rainer, Herr Rossi and Na Logo, because I was at work on that Press Day. But I will do the ride on April, 2nd, and I hope that I will be fascinated, too.
