Tejay Thorsten Janke Bochum Deutschland . NW	This week one of the biggest fairs in Germany is being celebrated in the city of Düsseldorf. Some of Germanys biggest rides are lined up along the river Rhine. Among them Wildwasser 3 (log flume), Euro Star (inverted coaster), Spinning Racer (spinning coaster), Star World (spinning dark coaster), Bellevue (Ferris Wheel),Power Tower 2 (Free Fall) and High Energy (Star Shape). There has also been a German debut: the new Capriolo ride from Mondial has come to a German first under the name of Cyber Space to the german fair circuit. marcussheen Marcus Sheen GB	Great coverage, really enjoyed the photographs. Cyberspace looks great - how well does it compare to the Fabbri Booster? It has a brake on the gondola doesn't it? It looks like it could be pretty intense. How is Eurostar this year? I think the occassional post I have found says it is a bit better although my German is rubbish. I rode it a few years and it was quite rough, but apparently it got a LOT worse! Hopefully it is better as before it became rough it was probably my favourite coaster (although I have done Batman La Fuga since). Regarding meeting up (just saw the other post), I would really like to meet up, but I'm still unsure when I will be visiting so don't want to muck you around. I guess many of you will be wearing onride.de t-shirts? I will keep a look out for these and will introduce myself when I see these.	0 gefällt das

I prefer the Capriolo to the Fabbri Booster (only been on Spin Doctors at BPB) - but there are different opinions on what ride is better. The new one by showman Kaiser seems to be operated in an extreme way. There is talking about riding head down through the station and concerning prices at german fairs the ticket @ 8 Euro seems outstanding. marcussheenHow is Eurostar this year? I think the occassional post I have found says it is a bit better although my German is rubbish. I rode it a few years and it was quite rough, but apparently it got a LOT worse! I heard about going upsidedown through the station on the Mondial Caprilo - this happened to me on a Top Spin once, and I thought my head was going to explode! Very intense! I'm surprised about Eurostar, especially after all the work that has gone into the ride. I wonder why the ride is so rough, yet Schwarzkopf coasters seem to stay smooth for so much longer? Bit of a dissapointment, although at least I know to brace for the worst now! I thought I saw some onride.de t-shirts in some galleries, so I guess people must have just done them on their own. Hopefully I'll be able to get in touch if I'm at the fair on Saturday. That is the day I fly back, so if I go I will be at the fair from whenever it opens. When does your plane leave (from Düsseldorf or Cologne?)? Maybe an early morning Düsseldorf breakfast meeting might also be interesting to other onriders? marcussheen Marcus Sheen GB	Hello, My plane leaves at about 4.30 from Düsseldorf B, so I would need to arrive 1.5 hours before that at least, so would have to leave the fair around lunchtime so we can get stuff from the hotel and get to the airport. NW	Well, maybe Dr. Sebastian Bunch has an idea where one could meet before going to the fair and have a nice breakfast, since he is a born and lively Düsseldorfer. If you are staying at a hotel it might be your second breakfast, actually. Altstadt is German for "Old Town". If you take the picture Quelle: onride.de rk05.jpg the Altstadt is basically to the right of the church, that can be seen across the river Rhine. It is the place where there are the pubs and cafés are in Düsseldorf - not only for tourists. One can easily transfer from Altstadt to fair via the ferry over the Rhine. Very intense! I have never ridden a Top Spin or a Capriolo yet, but I can imagine it's even more intense with a Capriolo, since it moves much faster and on a bigger radius than a Top Spin. Bit of a dissapointment, although at least I know to brace for the worst now! The majof problem of the Eurostar is that it has been built to fit into a footprint as small as possible. If they had built it about 10 meters larger in each direction, the ride would have been much smoother. But nevertheless, it's a much better ride now than before, comparable to Vekoma SLCs. You won't have the smoothness of a B&M Inverter when biolding a transportable roller coaster like that - that's not possible. And after all - it's a roller coaster, not a kiddie ride. I rode it, and it was a little rough, but not painful at all. Space Mountain @ Disneyland Paris hurts a LOT more. It's reassuring about Eurostar - people often complain about Colossus at Thorpe Park (10 looper) being rough, but I think it is fine - it gives you a kick up the arse and shows you who is boss, but I think it is fine. Hopefully it will be the same as that. In printing the directions to our hotel for the taxi driver, I have noticed that my friend has booked a hotel 15 miles away from the fair site (), so I am quickly looking for an alternative hotel! Idealy I am looking for a hotel on the opposite side of the river near to the bridge - has anyone got any suggestions?! Can someone confirm that the fair is on the left hand side of the river in this map between the two bridges? This will help me look for a hotel(!)	0 gefällt das

This fair has got to go a long way to beat the thrilling morning I have had when I realised the hotel that was apparently opposite the fair was actually 20km away! When you leave off the postal code in Multimap it just shows you the centre of Dusseldorf (and puts a circle there) without saying "cannot find address". Anyway, no more ranting, I have booked a hotel which is (I hope) about 2km away from the fair called Nh Eden Duesseldorf Centre. Looks OK and is very good value. Meeting point will be the station/dock of the ferry to the fair over the Rhine, whcich is located at the opposite side of the fair (near the Altstadt). It is located at a big place. We can then sit down for an hour at a local pub and afterwards cross with the ferry to the fair at noon. If you take your map again it is in the middle of the shown section at the river Rhine. If you take the above picture, you can see the ferry in the right corner of the picture. If you go by oderground, just leave at "Heinrich Heine Allee" and take a 5 minute walk to the river.	0 gefällt das

I know there was a URL printed on the sign, but I don't remember it. The ferry operates the whole day from guessing 10 o' clock to after midnight, boats leaving every 15 minutes. marcussheen Marcus Sheen GB	Well, I've been back for a few hours after visiting the fair, and briefly meeting up with some onride.de members - this fair is quite simply one of the best places on earth. Yes, I've visited before, but words fail me - I have just been in awe for the last three days at some of the best rides I have ever ridden, at the mercy of some of the best ride staff in the world. To see 48 people get off a Breakdance, and 48 new people get on in 8 seconds from the moment the first person jumps on the (still moving) turntable is just one of those amazing memories that will stay with me for ever. There are many more, I'll reflect on these in my trip report Thanks for all your help everyone. It ended up being one of the best trips I have ever done.	0 gefällt das
