Six Flags Holland did something stupid. Wednesday in the afternoon, they placed a map with the parks new names and logo's on their press site. One member of a Dutch themepark related site placed it online on the discussion board. Result: everyone knows the new name from the parks in 2005. But this didn't make Six Flags Holland happy. They kept sending mails to the discussionboard to remove that map of the world wide web. Although they didn't confirm the news, I guess that these names are the ones that will be used in 2005. Here are the new names or 2005 (Please notice that nothing is confirmed till the press conference from StarParks in november!)

Well, if they did send mails to ask for removal, I will do so, and "put this image on ice" (a german saying for delaying things and presenting information at another time in the future). As a matter of fact the German park will definitely be called "Movie Park Germany" - the name and the logo were being presented during a press conference on August, 31st. It seems we didn't report in this international section about our attendance at the press conference in late August. 
So we do now. The german section has boosted with the coming changes in the German park, onride.de viewtopic.php I will try to report the most important facts. An update on the coming changes is schedulded for a further press conference in November. The park's name will be changed to Movie Park Germany - the movie theme has become a traditional and among the park's costumers very familiar name thus it will be kept. The change from "World" to "Park" tries to indicate a more familiar image the general public has of a theme park as a destination for a day trip - some visitors were disappointed not to find a resort style theme park when coming to WBMW for the first and maybe the last time in the past years. All the Warner licence agreements will be postponed in 2005. This will go along with a lot of renaming. - all the Gotham city therming will have to vanish - Looney Tunes children area will become Wonderland - No more Gremlins Invasion, Looney Tunes Studio Tour, Eraser, Wild Wild West, Wild Bunch, Marvin e.t.c. - Batman simulator will be changed into a flight simulator - Roxy Cinema will be changed into a 4-D cinema with a new film - new characters and street entertainment (maybe with new licences with different TV- / movie studios) will be introduced - the investment for changing the park and the new season 2005 is said to be 10 millions Euro - there will be a season pass for 2005 (but no information on the price or values of the pass is yet announced) |

And Six Flags Holland has already started with the Season Pass for next year. You can buy 2 different kinds of Season Pass: the Thrill Pass or the Family Pass. Now what do they both include?
Thrill Pass € 79,-: - One season free entrance to the themepark. - Vouchers where you can take your friends with discount. - 10 Wildcards for double rides - extra thrill and sensation. - Invitations for exclusive events, recordbreakings and special events. - Unlimited food and drinks at three summernights. - One entrance for another park from the StarParks group. - 10% discount for food, drinks and articles at the souvenirshops. Family Pass € 196,-: - One season unlimited free entrance to the themepark for the whole family. - Every member is getting it's own pass ( non - married home-living pers. aged under 21). - 10% discount for food, drinks and articles at the souvenirshops. - An invitation for an exclusive Family Fest and a Meet & Greet with ... - 10 entrances for another park from the StarParks group. - Vouchers where you can take your friends with discount. - 10 vouchers for free coffee and tea for mom and dad. - A lot of extra discounts and exclusive advantages. Now this is for Six Flags Holland/Walibi World, but I guess that the other 6 parks will work with the same system. |
