For our international guests we like to offer this special thread, where we will try to answer all your requests about the new Inverted Coaster @ Phantasialand?
Please feel invited to ask your questions or make your statements about Black Mamba.
It's not that there isn't any interest, but I guess most international people on here, like me, can read german pretty wel but can't wright it properly. I, on the other hand, don't have any questions about Black Mamba. As far as the progress goes, Redunzelizer is keeping us updated on CoasterSims.
I guess most international people on here, like me, can read german pretty wel but can't wright it properly.
And a few can not even WRITE english properly...
How come?
crazyx, your short-minded assumption that any international person writing english in fact comes from an english speaking country is dead wronk! As we also may see with this, your post, the ability to switch off one's brain before writing is completely language independent at last.
All the problems because of one letter in a word (which I should've noticed since I check my text most of the time).
In any case, I'll stick to my statement.

And some others think they can, but in fact they cannot.

Did you hear that Captain Crunch, Sugar Bear, Tony the Tiger, and Snap, Crackle and Pop were all murdered recently... Police suspect the work of a cereal killer!
I'd like to know the height and speed specifications on this. Also, is it still scheduled to open on time in April? I'm visiting for the World Cup and plan on riding a few coasters as well. Just have to scout out what's is where. I know this is a Black Mamba thread but any extra information on coasters in Germany is very much appreciated. My home base will be Heidelberg and the USA plays in Gelsenkirchen, Kaiserslautern, and Nuremberg so anything remotely close would be great.
Certainly my most anticipated 'new' coaster of 2006. Not since Nemesis have we seen a B&M inverter of this calibur in terms of theming. If the artists impression is anything to go by, Black Mamba's will be 10x better. Although I'd expect nothing less from a theme park like Phantasialand.
Just hoping that it's open when I visit in July. Can't wait to get back to Germany once again.

The height and speed specifications are not known yet. And nobody knows the official opening date - in this thread we made a bet where you have to guess the opening date.
When your german home base is in Heidelberg it´s not far to Holiday Park where Expedition GeForce is located. From Gelsenkirchen it´s not far to Movie Park Germany. And from Gelsenkrichen it´s about one hour to Phantasialand, where Black Mamba will hopefully be open when the Scoccer World Cup has started.
If you have any more questions or need help planing a trip to a german themepark - just write it in this forum. We´ll do our very best to help you. And perhaps it´s possible to meet together and visit a park together.
Any updates yet for us English speakers on specs or expected opening day? I'm still counting on it being open by the time the Football World Cup begins.
No news at all, but seeing the pictures taken of the coaster it seems impossible that the coaster will open within the next weeks. I'm pretty sure though that the park will try to have it opened for the Football World Cup, because there are many possible visitors for the park. The question will be though whether the theming is finished by then or not.
Technical details and specifictions haven't been published yet by the park. So we can still only guess about those, apart from one thing. There was a newspaper article about the Coaster, which can be found here. It says that the first drop is 107% steep which makes approx. 50 degree. It's a popular paper though, which means this information doesn't have to be absolutly correct.
Apart from that some people might be able to tell the ride time. I know it was posted somewhere after the first tests, but I really don't know anymore. I hope someone else can add this information.
Just to update this with the most recent information.
Phatasialand has anounced on the official Black Mamba site, that the Coaster will open for the public on May 24th.
The day before (May, 23rd) will be a preopening. You can purchase a ride on the Coaster by auction on the Black Mamba page. Unfortunalty they took down the english version which will make it difficult for you to take part in the auction. To be the first rider on the Coaster will cost at least 100€, a place in the first row will be even 50€ dearer. The auction will be opened until May 16th and the prices will probably be much higher by then.
[If you want to take part and don't understand enough German for that just contact me. It would be a pleasure to help.]
I'm planning on visiting between the USA's first and second matches, probably Wed the 14th. Will be traveling from Heidelberg. Just got to figure out the trains i need to take.
You should be able to find the trains you need to take over here. It's the homepage of the German Bahn. On the left you can see some fields where you can put in the stations and times you want to travel.
You should arrive at the railway station in Brühl. From there you can go by bus to Phantasialand. You can find further information about the shuttle service here.
Once you know the exact date of your visit you could tell us and maybe there are some people from this site who also want to visit the park that day. (Just if you want of course.)
I really hope this helps to plan your trip to the park,
Magnus
