I don't supose anyone from onride has got a smart? If you do, I would love to hear about it!
We had a "smart fortwo" for three years. It´s a very good car - if you are having two cars and the smart is the second one. And you´ll have a big smile on your face when you get the parking place the other cars have to drive along.
The best ride I had in our Smart was at my marriage day - the way from the church to the restaurant. It was very funny when my wife entered the "small" car with her huge wedding dress...
@Cornholio & NaLogo: Everyone who´s tattling about this car has never driven one!

I nerver owned one, but i drove a Smart some years ago - not very far, not very long, but for me it felt like a... (see above). Although it's funny, how fast this vehicle (I refuse to use the word "car" in this place) can accelerate using a motor of this ridiculous size. (Our Lawnmower even has a larger motor )
It's such a beautiful car... I honestly think it is as close to perfection as I have ever seen in a car (for my tastes). The only thing is it is not electric, hybrid, or fuel cell powered... but I'll live
I'm so curious how it will do with all the massive vehicles on the road in Canada.
I'm still hesitating on placing my order until I get things in my personal life sorted out first. I feel like everything these days is on hold, like I am living packed up and ready for a big change that never comes. Argh!
I have also bought a book on the history of the smart... it's unbeliveable how turbulent the car's history was and how it almost didn't come to be.
Just a little update. I've had "Nosedive" for 6 months and I'm at 40 000 km. I love this car so much. I've built both a snowboard and minimoto rack for holding my board and bike.
I don't know miles and gallons But my lifetime average on mine is 4.5 L/100 km and is falling (I was very hard on it initially because I was excited, but now mostly my tanks are between 3.5 and 4 L/100 km).
The interior is huge! Everyone who sits in it smiles about that and is surprised. I love that they don't sell it in the USA. Every time I go there you get big waves and stares. They think you're driving a golf cart... at 135 km/h...
You can't get a Brabus tuned fortwo but several companies like Upsolute sell "remaps" where they reprogram the car's computer. This takes you from 30 kW to 55 kW for a few hundred dollars. But I don't need that... I'd kill myself
In Canada only the cdi (Diesel) is available. I'm not sure why the petrol version was not brought over. I'm okay with that though, I am addicted to Diesel. The low-end torque and grunty nature of it suits me just fine.
And Canada has been proudly Metric since 1967 It's the USA that still uses those funny units...
I just try to imagine a Brabus Smart. I don´t know why, but it makes me laugh.
Just click on the Brabus Button...
I think it is very curious to drive a 101 hp shoe box, that cost all about 25.000 Euro...this is just for people with enough money to burn!
On the other hand it must be real funny to shock some people with this shopping trolley.
Also funny is this "Smartie" with a GSX-R Engine Video Link

This ist, what I thought. I can understand why you tune a SLK or a Maybach, but I can´t understand why driving this Shoe Box

Just take a look at my Corsa...
A friend of mine have an old Opel Corsa, year of manifacture 1996, he got a 2,0 liter Turbo from a Calibra, modified with a huge Garret Turbo, modified engine controller and other little modifications.
In the current set up he got 356 hp and a top Speed from 300+ km/h.
That´s sheer madness and some of these BMW or Mercedes Honks, who drives nearby with flashing headlights are very frustrated, if you push the throttle control to the bottom. Nearly all cars were bolted at 250 km/h...
Then you have to slow down, let the limousine pass and turn your head to the left, just watch into the face of the Limousine driver and make ...when he´s gone, depart the highway to the next resting place and then
I already knew, there must be something wrong with you. Now I know what it is.
And this says a girl, that wears pink elastic bands in the hair... And the elastic band is nearly invisible, because it is fused with the pink panther on the Shirt
