Has anyone gone on "Adrenalin Pur", the Capriolo/Booster/Skyscraper-type ride, by Funtime?

I'm curious to know how it actually is capable of operating... do the arm and rotor rotate in oposite directions at equal speeds?

Looks like it could give a lot of airtime up top if it did that!

(I also don't supose anyone has seen a video clip of it in operation?)

Hi Iain,

you should ask Sebastian (moderator). He did Adrenalin pur last year at Düsseldorf Rheinkirmes and yes he bought himself an onride-video that you could purchase after riding the monster.

I didn't go there because I thought there would come better opportunitiies to ride that thing. I was surprised when noticing that it did not continue travelling the fairs. It is actually operating (I think for the price of 8 Euro) in the Vienna Prater and seems to have become a more permanent installation.

It was in fact too fast for many peolpe also those who rode it. I think the rotations added to one another.

Is the video taken with a camera on the gondolas?

That's pretty wild that it went to Vienna Prater; I think they have a lot of really unusual stuff there (Soriani + Moser Tornado Adventure, Moser Hoopla, Nauta Imperator, etc...).

Hi Ian,

yep the video was taken from a special cam
which is mounted at the gondola. It watches
the faces of the riders.

If you are interested, I'll ask Sebastian if we
would lent me the VHS tape for digitizing.

I think it won't harm any copyrights if we
would put it online. But be sure since Sebastian
is a skilled rider, so you won't see any sickness
effects(green face etc.)

And I also remember the really bad quality of
that clip.

Greetings!

Eric

Btw. I'm waiting for a sending from Toronto
maybe you can speed it up a bit! S

It's a good idea, to put a camera on the gondola like that! A seemingly simple way to make more money, for sure...

That would be really awesome to see a clip of his ride on it S but don't go out of your way for it. While I am anxious to see what it looks like in operation, I dont want it to be any trouble for you!

Maybe you'll have to come over and get it, and visit Canada's Wonderland while you're here! S

Tornado Adventure is not at the Prater any more. It has been replaced with Moser's Hoppla years ago.

I will see what I can do regarding that clip, shouldn't be
that much work since it's a small one. Within the next
2 weeks it should be done, I'll ask Sebastian today regarding
the video, let's wait and see what he thinks. But I guess he'll
agree!

Nice try with the Canada-Invitation, be sure if I'd had time and
free budget we won't talk long for an appointment at Canada's
Wonderland! In my mind I'm already there! S

Bye and Take care!

Actually it was sold. I read this information in the german magazine Kirmes & Park Revue when they reported about the follow up attraction Hoppala. If I were at home and not at the office I could search the information. If I remember correctly it was sold to Vietnam or Korea? Whether it was a unique ride I do not really know.

There were 5 units made?! S

Actually Tejay isn't that your site?

What a surprise: Yes, that's my website, at least it was untill I deleted the whole thing some months ago.
Unfortunately, I also lost my harddiskdrive with all the websites of germancoaster.de,
thus it looks like I can see my baby again. S
How did you get that thing working again?

S S

Would be good to know how to reactivate lost websites. At least I can check back on the article when I am home again.

Thanks a lot, Iain.

Actually I had always used your website for a reference when I was curious about how many of a certain kind of machine there were... or when they were built, etc...

It was a fantastic resource!

You can use the button marked "Cache" when you search in Google, that pulls up an older version...

...or you can use archive.org: archive.org

"The Wayback Machine". I'm having trouble geting it to work right now, but usually it will show you all the dates that it "saved" your webpage on, and you can click on any of those. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't... but it's useful when it does!

Is your new webpage still under construction?
