On a weekly basis we offer to our users a quiz where they can test their knowledge concerning parks, fairs or rides.

Participants do have to answer some questions untill Friday evening by sending a pn (private news, see bottom beneath this text, just click the second button from the left side with the letters "pn"). They shall not answer within this thread as they might disturb the other participants from guessing on their own.

Maybe you like to join, too.

This week I am looking for the names (artists names) of three persons that are highly connected with running a theme park.

Iy you wanna join the quiz simply send a pn with the three names of the persons and the three names of their parks.

Number 1:
he is a male person and he was also the first man representing his country to take part in Eurovision song contest Grand Prix d'Eurovision de la Chanson. He of course is a singer. Quite successful, as he is the owner not only of a theme park but also of many golden records. One of his records is called "Ich steh an der Bar". His theme park is named after the first name of his artists name.

Number 2:
She is a woman or better say a "queen" within her business. She is a talented singer and some of her most faous titles are: "Jolene" "9 to 5" and another song to which Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston liked to dance in a bar in the movie they did together. Obviously the song fascinated Whitney that much that she covered that particular song and turned it into the theme of the movie. It became a worldwide No. 1 single.
The theme park that our singer is co-owner since 1986 is partly named after the first name of the singers artists name. It was founded in the early 60s and changed names from "Rebel Railroad" to "Goldrush Junction" to "Silver Dollar City Tennessee" before it was renamed to its current status.

Number 3:
It is a male again. I'm not quite sure about his career due to the fact that I have difficulties in understanding the language in which information about him are available. He was born as João Batista Sergio Murad and started his career back in the 60s as a radio presentator and an advertising businessman. In the following years he became more and more a mixture of Roy Rogers and William F. Cody. He opened on the December 28, 1991 his own theme park on one of his belongings. Since then he was considered one of the best earning men of his country back in the late 90s while a notice from 2002 informs about his conviction of tax evasion. Instead of being sent to prison he was sentenced to pay money to his local community.
He is a citizen of the worlds fifth largest country in terms of area. The name of his theme park contains his full artists name.

In the english versions of phpBB, this button should read "pm", the abbreviation for "private message" - I don't know if this is true for the design this board is using, but it should.

Click the button "Profil" (profile) at the top of every side and search for "Board-Sprache" (board-language). Here you can choose the englisch version of our board. Finally klick the "Abschicken"(submit)-Button at the bottom of the side - then you've changed the board-language to "English"...

Oh, what a wonderful world, a simple click and everything is changed.

The first person I was looking for is Bobbejaan Schoepen who became the owner of Bobbejaanland back in the 60s.

In 1986 Dolly Parton became part-owner of Dollywood.

In 1991 Beto Carrero opened Beto Carrero World in Brasil.
