Another stop in Finland brings me to the website of Särkänniemi Amusement park near the city of Tampere.

The park opened in 1975 and offers a wide collection of rides and other amusements. In addition to the amusement park there are other places to visit in the vicinity of the park: observation tower, dolphinarium, zoo.
According to rcdb.com there used to be something before Särkänniemi opened, a place called Neula's Amusements. Anybody know more about the predecessor?

The new attraction in 2003 is the new product by Intamin: the Half Pipe. Anybody been on it yet?

There also still seems to be a Jet Star coaster by Schwarzkopf.
